Have a little FAITH...

"The grass is always greener on the other side."
We often hear this expression to stimulate a positive outlook on life. I know for some, words of encouragement may be futile. But for others, staying positive is the only thing we can do. It is the beacon of hope. Staying positive is about FAITH, knowing that if one door closes, another one will open.

In this economy, people have lost their jobs, their homes, and even their lives. In the past year, our world was rocked by the destructive earthquake in Haiti, the constant terrorist attempts, and many other world-changing events. Although the world can be unpredictable, having FAITH is predictable. It keeps us grounded, keeps us sane. In these difficult times, sometimes prayer is all we need.
I have seen what lack of FAITH can do. Having no purpose, having nothing to live for can break a person down. Sometimes we just need to step back, assess our lives, and be grateful for all the wonderful things we do have. We have to see the positive in every situation, no matter how dreary it may be.
I know of a woman who had lung cancer. She was diagnosed in her late fourties. Against all odds, despite what the doctors said...with strong prayer, a belief in her recovery, a FAITH she would outlive her disease, she survived one of the deadliest forms of cancer.
I have received messages and letters from people who have lost FAITH, who are barely holding on. Sometimes it is all we can do to live each day. I would just like to remind everyone that struggle is a part of life, but it is these experiences that make us stronger. We need to have FAITH that, "This too shall pass." We need to believe GOD has a higher purpose for each one of us. Stay positive even when all hope is lost. Also, take action when the opportunity arises. Be open to blessings in disguise. Be open to goodness. Be open to FAITH...
